Summer Fun_Mission Viejo Lake

Lots of fun today at Lake of Mission Viejo. First, boat ride with Krista and Lauren + lunch. Then fun time lounging around on the lake. This was the very first time Emily has ever been on a lake. Pyun Family's Summer Vacation 2009

Every year we alternate going to visit Linda and her family in Texas and her family coming out to visit us in Orange County. Oh we all had a great time filled with food, Settlers of Catan, Legoland, beach, pool, spa, desserts, and more good food! I couldn't capture everything, but here are some pics to just name a few....next summer we'll be in Dallas visiting our dear friends!!!

Corona Del Mar Beach - brought everything to BBQ at the beach; however, the new rule is no BBQ allowed at the beach...So what and where did we go???

We went to the Northpark pool to have our bbq for lunch & we got to play more in the water! We had hotdogs, kalbi!!! yum!

Afterwards we got back home. And the kids jumped into the spa in the backyard!!

After Legoland, we went straight to Shik Doe Rak in Irvine for dinner! We were starving!

Afterwards we just walked around and since it was so darn HOT, we went into Lowes. We found the 2 girls sitting inside a kitchen island! Those silly girls!

- LOTS of In and Out

- Ramen place
- fun swapping menus
- grocery shopping
- and as you can see, it didn't matter what we did ...we all just had such a wonderful time! Friendship like this is unconditional! WE love the Pyuns and can't wait to see them in summer of 2010!!!

Friday Frustration

It's been awhile since I've actually felt the need to vent my frustration. But then again, this is my blog and i can write what i want. it doesn't always have to be happy and my life is great stuff and pictures...
And today I have had it. I call it my "FRUSTRATION FRIDAY"! Probably stems from Emily being at home with me 24/7 and my level of needing "space". The "mommy, i need your help..." has tripled today and it's only 1pm! I just want to yell, "do it yourself! figure it out yourself! think first before asking!" It all stemmed with piano practice this morning when she just did not want to figure out what the bass notes were. And she knows darn well what those notes are! She's been playing the piano since 4 years of age! Eventually she played her homework with such "dislike". And that pretty much got my frustration engine started. And then from that point, everything annoyed me to death!

I am realizing how impatient I am as well as intolerant I am when it comes to senseless nonsense. And then I have to smack myself and say that my daughter is only 7 years old! I guess I have such high expectations for her as my parents did for me. And I need to STOP and EXAMINE my own heart.

I am a mom and my job is to protect my daughter's heart from harm and "mean people"! And today I was the mean person!!!!Do I hate myself for being like that? YES of course! But I am a mom who is with Emily pretty much 24/7.

David told me one day that I need to learn to let things go and not hold onto the grudge or whatever is pissing me off. And that goes with the things my 7 year old does to me! She is a "little me" and if I want our relationship to be a positive and a great one later on, I need to really work on this part and GROW UP myself too!!!

But it's Friday and I am frustrated! So I will scream, shake my head, maybe go shopping and splurge on something for ME and not anything from a toy section, or Gymboree, Hanna Andersson, or even walk into the children's department @ Nordstrom! I'll walk into the make up counter or accessories area for ME! Damn it! I need to pamper myself! It's long over due!

Hopefully tomorrow will be a SWEET SATURDAY! I will pray for that and for SWEET SUNDAY!

I do love my daughter to so much! And I hope she knows that even when I am about to blow a fuse! No wonder I was good at tennis! I knew where to take out my frustration!

Wow! Motherhood is hard at every stage of your kid's life! And there's more to come .....yipes!

Colorado Fun

Colorado was such a beautiful state! here's just a few pics to capture our trip to Colorado Springs, CO!

We reached the top of Pike's Peak! Over 14,000 Ft High Up! Feeling dizzy and COLD! It was snowing and 32 degrees!!! BRRRRRRRHHHH!!!!!
They are known for their delicious donuts at top of Pike's Peak! Dad said he tried the donuts back in 1960s and he said the one he just tried tastes MUCH BETTER!!!
