Farewell, Amanda

Today is a bittersweet day for Emily who says good-bye to her dearest friend Amanda. Amanda is moving to Singapore tomorrow and the girls are enjoying their last playdate together this afternoon. As a mom it breaks my heart to see my girl losing her bestest of friends. Amanda has loved Emily and vise versa as if they are sisters. The friendship between these two 9 year olds is truly special. And you have to give credit to Amanda's mom and dad for raising her into an amazing little girl.

I will never forget when Emily was 3 years old at Creators Corner preschool. I would ask who she played with and she said this cute girl with short curly hair. She didn't know her name but pointed her out to me at preschool. Who would have guessed that would have started this truly friendship, a true gift from the Lord.

Amanda and Emily did not attend the same elementary school; but their friendship just blossomed more and more. I don't know what Emily is going to do except grow and cherish this friendship even if it is across the globe.

This is a short video clip that I made for the girls to always remember one another until they meet again... Will miss you and love you always, Amanda!!!!

From Halloween to Flip on a Parallel Bar

This is one of those "catching up" blogs where I post random fun stuff leading up to today.

This is a cute video of Emily & Amanda who are at the school playground doing a flip on the parallel bars.

David, Emily, and I went to this delicious Korean Restaurant called, "Honey Pig" in Buena Park, CA. Emily loved it especially the kimchi. It was so good and tasty! We want to go back again SOON!!!!
Emily loves the sticky wrap

This is the first thing the waiter puts on the grill - kimchi and bean sprouts

Emily doesn't find the name amusing because she wants to know where's the HONEY?

Smile!

After you finish the meat and everything, the waiter brings a big bowl of rice w/ greens, throws in the rest of the kimchi and bean sprouts and puts it back on the grill. KIMCHI FRIED RICE!!!!

I like! I like!

My last pose in my teacup princess costume 2010. Good night!

David is off in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico this weekend to attend his cousin Mike's wedding. Though it would have been fun to be in Mexico for the festivities, we decided it would be too hard for Emily to take Emily out of school on Friday for a long flight and then to turn around and be on a long flight back. So even though we miss having David home this weekend, we're doing out best to make it a good weekend! And to start it off, we had a surprise playdate with Amanda.  It ended up being a great Friday! Tomorrow we're off to see Hello Kitty as it is Hello Kitty's birthday! Maybe another trip to Honey Pig for dinner too? We'll see what fun we have up our sleeves!!!
