Happy 43rd Birthday, David

Happy Birthday to my dear best husband, friend, companion for life, sweetest and smartest daddy for Emily.
I hope your day was filled with much love and joy.
We started off this morning with yummy breakfast from Brueggers Bagel with a very special card made by Emily.
In the evening we dined at GulfStream Restaurant with my parents having some delicious seafood. Then back home for chocolate mousse ganache birthday cake.

Day Before Thanksgiving

What a productive day before Thanksgiving! We've gone to the store almost everyday because we're missing an ingredient here and there. I got the beverage station all ready to go with a sparkling tablecloth from plumparty.com. The punch bowl is out as well as the margarita glasses, martini glasses, wine glasses, and drinking cups. The utensils are all wrapped in a decorative tie, and the sweet potato pies are all done. The vegetables are all chopped and ready for prep work tomorrow morning.

I took some pictures of David who is the CHEF for the turkey making this year. This is his very first time making a turkey and he is using Alton Brown's recipe. And so here is a picture of David brining the turkey for 6- 16 hours in the refrigerator. He had to buy a container large enough to keep the turkey drenched for brining. And so he went to Home Depot and bought this absolutely gorgeous culinary appliance!!! (hahaha)!

I decorated the house w/ more balloons, 90s music playing, margaritas, wine, beer, tacos, nachos, mexican sodas, desserts, etc...

Let the fun begin!!!

I ordered DUKE cups, plates, napkins for this party!
He is my DUKE DAVE KIM!!!!

David wears his apron and grills up the carne asadas, grilled chicken for the taco feast!!!

Celebration continues at Disneyland!
Since it's David's birthday and since we have Annual Pass, Disney gave David $72.00 giftcard to spend on his birthday. So Emily lucked out got 2 stuffed animals and Wii Sing It 2!!!!
She is so happy!

Emily tries out California Screamin' with Daddy for the very first time! Let's just say this was her first and very last time. She was so scared even started to tear up because she was so scared...

We saw Minnie Mouse on our way out and decided to get a snapshot!

We are at the Irvine City Council where Emily's art got selected in the K-2 group @ Canyon View. The theme was, "Beauty is..." And Emily said beauty is a celebration!

Beauty is celebrating my daddy's 40th birthday today!!!

Now we are at Yi Jo Korean BBQ for dinner with both sets of parents.
