Camping to End Summer Vacation

Emily starts 4th grade this Thursdays, September 8th. And to end Emily's summer vacation David thought it would be fun to give Emily one last hurrah over Labor Day weekend 2011 === in our backayrd.
The weather has been like any typical California weather. But last night around 2:00AM, we were Freaked OUT by the LOUDEST thunder. THEN it started to pour!!!! What is up with that, Mother Nature??? The funny thing was David jumped up with the loud THUNDER, but Emily just slept soundly through the huge noise!!!

Summer 2011 has ended. It has been a fun summer for us all.

Super Hot Day in Orange County

It's been ridiculously HOT and HUMID here. But then again it is July and I should not complain. Just like the weather, I have been feeling lethargic and just chilling out everyday. Emily started UCI Writing Summer School which is for 3 weeks. She wanted to get long layers to look like a 4th grader. And we're off to Puerta Vallarta in few weeks for a little excursion. Got to spend time with my awesome cousin Susan and the gang. Fell in love with baby Olive who is absolutely adorable and super cute!!!

Summer has begun and it's absolutely amazing how wonderful Emily has grown up. She is 9 years old. I can see her personality and how similar and different she is from me and from David. She is a good kid. She knows what she likes and dislikes. She truly is sincere and thinks of others and how others are feeling. I love her so much and times like this is what makes me love being a mom...a stay-at-home mom!!!!
