Happy 8th Birthday, Emily!

On January 1, 2002 at 2:30AM about 1 hour after David and I came home from our friend's new years eve party, I went to use the bathroom and could not stop going to the bathroom. I knew something was wrong. David called my ob/gyn and he told us to go to the hospital. MY water had broke and Emily was going to be born!!!

It is now January 1, 2010 and my baby who joined us 5 1/2 weeks earlier just celebrated her 8th birthday!

Emily was the first New Years Day baby born at UCI and for our family New Years Day is a big celebration which includes Emily's happy birthday!

Being an only child myself, I am so lucky to have cousins who are like my very own sisters and brothers. Jin is my brother and Susan and Helen are my sisters. And the love they show towards Emily is speechless. And to the grandparents? What more can I say except Thank YOU for the love you shower Emily !!! Thank you to my family!
