I just returned home from walking Emily to school at 7:57AM when I received a phone call at 8:00AM from Emily's teacher who said that Emily is going to be receiving an award at Morning Assembly. So I walked back up to school for the 8:20AM assembly. When Emily's name got announced, she was so excited! And she was surprised to see me there with my camera and video camera!!! :)
Emily got a Reading Counts trophy for 2175 reading counts points. She said her classmate Ethan said, "game on!" Ethan has 2000+ points too and said he doesn't want to be beaten by a girl! I found that to be quite amusing!
So today she received 3 ribbons, a trophy, and also lunch with the principal. How special and a fun Monday it was for Emily! Great job, sweets! You make your mommy and daddy super duper proud!!!
