This was one of the first vacations that we took just the 3 of us. We used Costco travel and went to Nueva Vallarta which is north of Puerta Vallarta. It's a new place, very quiet, and super friendly. A short plane ride from Orange County too. So we enjoyed our 1 bedroom suite, swimming in the huge, warm, quiet pool, hammock on our private beach, and some delicious food and smoothies too. We even enjoyed cooking Shin Ramen in our suite too. And one morning David even made poached eggs for breakfast. The hotel had a mini market which made it convenient to buy some eggs, milk, water, snacks, etc... We enjoyed swimming with the dolphins, jet skiing, go get some souvenirs at a flea market experience, boat cruise to a secluded beach where Emily got to zipline, hold a spider monkey, go kayaking, ride a donkey, and find rocks on the beach. One thing we didn't have time to do was SUPing (stand-up paddle). We'll try that next time. This was such a relaxing vacation that we all want to go back soon. Next time we'll know to take more bug repellents and sunscreen.

Now before we left, the day before was AWFUL. Emily had caught some type of a stomach virus. She was SICK. I was afraid and didn't know how we were going to travel the next day....And Louie was just sitting on the chair comforting Emily.

I love the fact that you had Shin Ramen in PV - we love that stuff, including Connor. We should definitely do a group trip next time!
